With Christmas right around the corner and many looking for places to safely unwind, News 9 and News On 6 will be airing “Oklahoma’s Own Originals: Holiday Adventures” starting December 7 to showcase fun, local getaways to visit this holiday season.Tag along with our News 9 teams as they travel from the Oklahoma City metro to Yukon to Tuttle to the Broken Bow/Hochatown area. They’ll share inexpensive trip ideas, family traditions, mini retreat options and much, much more.

And, join our News On 6 anchors as they share unique ways to see Christmas lights, a look at shopping and weekend trip options and so much more. They’ll make stops across eastern Oklahoma including Osage County, Tahlequah and Muskogee.

“In an unpredictable year, ‘Holiday Adventures’ will give families multiple places to see Christmas lights, do some shopping, start a new tradition or take a winter trip without having to leave the state,” said Jason Calder, News 9 Executive Producer of Special Projects. “These adventures are guaranteed to excite your family.”

News 9 and News On 6 will share a “Holiday Adventure” during each station’s 10 p.m. newscast from Dec 7-11.
