Griffin Communications announced that Phillip Sutterfield has joined their Radio sales team as Local Sales Manager.

“All of us at Griffin are excited to welcome Phillip to the Griffin team,” said Wade Deaver, Griffin Communications Vice President of Sales. “His passion and previous experience will be a definite asset to our sales team and our clients.”

In this role, Sutterfield will lead and support sales efforts for Griffin Communications’ Radio Sales Team for KHTT, KVOO, KXBL, KBEZ and KFAQ, as well as, digital and digital outdoor.

“As a 25-year Tulsa Radio veteran, I’ve always heard about how Griffin Communications was such a great place to work,” said Sutterfield. “Once they purchased the radio stations, my hope was to one day work for this amazing locally owned company - I just didn’t know it would be so soon. I am excited to represent the quality advertising platforms Griffin Communications offers Statewide and to Green County and eager to help local businesses grow their customer base with custom advertising campaigns.”

An Oklahoma native and graduate of Langston and Oklahoma State Universities, Sutterfield has extensive experience in radio, marketing, advertising, sponsorship, strategic planning and client solutions. Prior to rejoining Griffin, he worked extensively in Tulsa radio as well as helping clients with custom jingles and music.
