Griffin Communications, L.L.C. is a privately held company focused on providing quality news and information content within the state of Oklahoma and creative marketing
solutions for clients.
The company owns and operates television stations NEWS 9 (KWTV) in Oklahoma City and The News on 6 (KOTV) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The stations, both CBS affiliates, cover about 75 percent of the state, reaching more than 1.1 million households. The two stations collaborate to produce the only weekly statewide sports show, the Oklahoma Sports Blitz that airs Sunday nights at 10:20 p.m. The stations partner to produce political forums and other statewide
projects and are individally rated among the top CBS affiliates in the country.
Griffin Communications, L.L.C. also owns a statewide radio network, Radio Oklahoma, providing news, sports, weather and other programming to 32 radio affiliates across the state.
Another business, Griffin New Media, is focused on the growth of Internet sites and mobile information distribution. News9.com and NewsOn6.com, the sites associated with News 9 and The News on 6, are each dominant media websites in their respective markets.

NEWS 9 was launched by the Griffin family in 1954. Its antenna was the tallest man-made structure in the country at the time, so the station was dubbed KWTV (world’s tallest tower). The CBS affiliate has 171 employees and is a strong news contender in the market, often winning the coveted 10 pm news time period.
Through the years, the station has been awarded a market-shared Peabody, Emmys, several national Edward R. Murrow awards, and Oklahoma Broadcasters Association

The News on 6 is the CBS affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, purchased by Griffin Communications, L.L.C. in 2002 from the Dallas-based Belo
Corporation. With 151 employees, the station dominates several news time periods. Tulsa is the 61st largest television market in the country as defined by the Nielsen
Ratings Service and became a metered market in 2004. Through the years, the station has been awarded several Emmys and national Edward R. Murrow awards, as well as

CW 12 is the newest Griffin Communications television station, located in Tulsa. It became a CW affiliate in 2006. In addition to CW network programming, it provides viewers The News on 6 at 9 p.m. each weekday evening and also airs Oprah each evening Monday through Friday.
