Ron Hays joins Radio Oklahoma Network

Oklahoma City (August 1, 2006) -- The most respected radio farm director in Oklahoma is changing radio networks. Ron Hays has joined the Radio Oklahoma Network as Farm Services Director after a long-time career at the Oklahoma Agrinet.

“We are very fortunate to have Ron Hays join our team,” said Tim West, General Manager of the Radio Oklahoma Network. “Farmers, ranchers and others interested in agriculture have grown to depend on Ron’s expertise. He will provide great value for our affiliates and our advertising clients.”

Radio Oklahoma Network is a statewide radio network providing news, weather, agriculture reports and sports information to radio stations across Oklahoma. The network is owned by Griffin Communications, L.L.C. in Oklahoma City and QuinStar Radio Networks in Enid.

Hays’ reports on the network can be heard daily on 34 Radio Oklahoma Network affiliates across the state.

Ron Hays is a past president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, is a winner of National Farm Broadcaster of the Year, and has won the prestigious Oscars in Agriculture three times.

In his 29 year career of service to Oklahoma agriculture, Hays has served on the OSU Dean of Agriculture’s Advisory Committee, is current Chairman of the Oklahoma Ag Leadership Advisory Council, has produced the annual Stars Over Oklahoma audio-visual presentation at the Oklahoma FFA Convention for more than 15 years and has been honored by virtually every farm and commodity group in the state. He has traveled a million miles in covering the business of agriculture, reporting to and for the agricultural producers of Oklahoma.

Griffin Communications, L.L.C. is Oklahoma owned and operated by David and Kirsten Griffin of Oklahoma City and John and Holly Griffin of Muskogee. The company owns three network affiliated stations in the state—NEWS 9 (KWTV) in Oklahoma City, The News on 6 (KOTV) in Tulsa (both CBS affiliates) and WB-19 (KWBT) also in Tulsa.
